Launch of Vladivostok
April 29, 2014, the site Vyborg Shipyard (one of the units of JSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation”) has launched the icebreaker Vladivostok, the first ship 21900M project, which includes three diesel-powered vessels electrical. The ceremony of laying the first sheet was held October 17, 2012.
  

 

It is a special technique that has been used since the ship was built on the semi-submersible barge Atlant which construction was completed testing at the end of July 2013. Transfer of the first section on the barge took place A few days later, in the first week of August. Construction is completed, the barge was towed to a site whose depth allowed the recovery of the barge allowing the launching of the ship.
The ships of this class can break ice up to 1.5 meters thick but also provide towing missions, the fight against fires, assistance to ships in distress, and the charge transport various containerized. The other two ships – which carry the names of Murmansk Novorossiysk – will be built in Vyborg and Helsinki (by Arctech site) and completed in August and December 2015.

The construction of two ships 22220 project will shipyards Baltic St Petersburg. The contract (worth 84.4 billion rubles – U.S. $ 2.4 billion) was signed Thursday, May 29 between the site and Rosatom. That is not a surprise. In fact, the first issue of the series is already under construction and … there was no other candidate. The first ship is expected to enter into service in 2017; delivery of two vessels is scheduled for 25 December 2019 and 25 December 2020.

The third and final boat MPSV07 project Spasatel Zaborschikov, was delivered to the Russian State Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (HMQRC) June 20, 2014. It is aimed at the port of Vladivostok. The other two units in this series are already in service: Spasatel Karev (St. Petersburg) and Spasatel Kavdeykin(Murmansk).
